Anand Karney continued to represent an IT company he had already sold just days before the Nebraska lawsuit CI220001240 was filed. They failed to disclose to the new owners the potential legal liabilities arising from their prior fraudulent transactions. During the pendency of the lawsuit, the Karneys withdrew over $450,000 from the company without informing the buyers of the ongoing legal risks. As a result of their actions, the IT company has incurred approximately $200,000 in legal fees and interest payments to the plaintiffs, and is now facing additional liabilities directly tied to Anand Karney’s misconduct. Anand and Sudha Karney indemnified the buyers, and due to the liabilities created, they are working on filing a lawsuit on them soon.
